This was all surprisingly delicious. The rolls were well made and not rice heavy. There was fresh ginger and wasabi. In particular, the Dragon roll was awesome with a good amount of eel on top. The tuna negitoro maki was perfectly rolled! Tight and very fragrant green onions. The bakudan rolls were also really good and crispy. Die Hard, Spider and Yokohama rolls were all great. The gyoza were a little smaller than some, BUT they were perfectly pan-fried and had a delicious filling! Sorry for the lame photos. We were very hungry and didn’t bother staging it nicely for pics. We will be return-customers, for sure! (We ordered via Skip.)

I saw a lot of reviews and complaints about their services so I ordered through Uber (problem solved). And so my rating will only be for the food. This is like a “struggle meal/budget” sushi place. So you cannot expect they to use high quality ingredients or compare their tastes to other 2-3x more expensive sushi place. Given the price, I think their sushi were decent. The amount of tuna and salmon were quite less than cucumbers, rice and such. And there wasn’t any unagi in the unagi roll (at all). However, the chicken and shrimp tempura rolls were actually pretty good with big pieces of chicken and shrimp. Not a place for good sushi, but definitely a place for affordable sushi. So yeah, if you decide to order from them keep in mind their price and make sure you are okay with the trade off.

We love this place! Always try to place an order as fast as I can - see if you can be more efficient on the call then the guy on the other end! Sushi is good not great but for the price there isn't a better place in the city.

Ordered take out from Wako Sushi Cafe for the first time tonight. I got the Maki Lover combo, and chose Bakudan, KG, Mount Blanc, Yokohama, and Dynamite rolls. Everything was so delicious! Great quality, and fantastic price for how much food you are getting. And they don't pad their rolls with extra rice! Very happy I decided to give them a try, and will definitely be ordering here again. Great job.

The food was great and it’s been cooked fast for 20 minutes. I don’t want to say anything bad about this place: it is quite small ( as this is only for pick up) the door and windows dirty. They should pay more attention to such things as well Thanks

Looooveee Wako! The most affordable sushi platter in the city!! We always get the maki lover tray and add on a TnT roll, and we've never been disappointed. You can't eat inside, but if you go in the summer, you could go to the park nearby and eat there!

Great for take out! Dining area could use some serious upkeep or cleaning maybe(?). But Prep area in front of customers- seems ok. Had my doubts on dining in but was way too hungry to just take out. Pleasant surprise- The sushi/rolls: Seriously good! REAL CRAB MEAT on a 4.99 six piece roll Ingredients: no skimping- thick sliced SCALLOPS (not minced like most) from end to end of each roll at 6.99 Well noted: Real short grain sushi rice- although could use a bit more vinegar highlight the fresh seafood; the contrast is key. The tempura is good but just a personal preference batter could be lighter (Tokyo style- so far only one place in the city I found as of yet in StB). I tried to ask for a lemon to improvise for my dine in experience, which they didn’t have. Also proper Japanese soy sauce is a must. In the end I took the sushi home - adjusted the condiments to my taste. And truly enjoyed it. For the price and the quality of ingredients put in - the best sushi rolls in the city so far.

Good but the sushi rolls are tiny now. I remember the more generous portions a few years ago. still good value. My kids do love most of their veggie rolls.
